About Zpack Co.

We build the things we got tired of replacing.

Zpack is a one-product company that won’t stay one-product for long. We take everyday objects you’ve settled for — the plastic puck, the cheap multitool, the wallet that splits — and we build them the way they should have been built the first time. Then we back them for life.

The manifesto

Carry less. Flex better.

Somewhere along the way, the bar dropped. Every object you reach for in your pocket — wallet, multitool, pouch can, lighter — got cheaper, softer, more disposable. Built to a price, not to a standard. The logo got bigger. The hinge got weaker. The whole thing started feeling like a giveaway.

We started Zpack because we were tired of replacing the same six things every year. We’re designers, machinists, and people who like gear that works. So we picked one fight at a time, starting with the worst offender on the shelf: the plastic pouch puck.

Twenty-seven prototypes, two years of overruns, and a lot of late nights in Wyoming later — here it is. The first ZPACK. It’s heavier than it looks and a lot nicer than the thing it replaces. The snap is a little cocky. The finish doesn’t chip. It’s backed for life because we’d be embarrassed not to.

This is the bar. Everything we ship next clears it or it doesn’t ship. One thousand no’s for every yes.

How we got here

Two years, twenty-seven prototypes, one snap.

The honest version of the company timeline. No “raised a seed round” filler.

2023
Q2 · The frustration

Sixth plastic can cracks in one year.

Marty throws another puck in the trash, sketches an aluminum replacement on the back of a receipt. Files the receipt in a drawer.

2024
Q1 · First chips

V1–V7 prototyped.

Seven prototypes in seven weekends. All of them too heavy, too loud, or felt like a cigar tube. None of them snapped right.

2024
Q3 · The snap

V17 finally clicks.

Twelve N52 neodymium magnets in machined pockets. The snap goes from “fine” to “addictive.” We knew when we knew.

2025
Q2 · Finishes

Seven colorways dialed in.

Salt-spray rated, chip-tested in real jeans for ninety days before we called any of them done.

2026
Now · Live

ZPACK MK II ships.

V27. 2.7 oz. 1.8N snap. Backed for life. Sitting in 112,847 pockets and counting. Next product is already on the bench.

How we work

Three rules we don’t break.

01

One thousand no’s.

Every feature has to earn its way onto the can. If a line, a color, a logo, or a gram of material isn’t making the product better, it gets cut. The shipping product is what survived.

02

Built up to a standard, not down to a price.

We picked the materials before we picked the price. Aircraft aluminum, hard anodize, N52 magnets. If that means we cost more than the plastic, fine. We’re not competing with plastic.

03

Backed for life or we don’t ship it.

If we won’t stake a lifetime guarantee on a product, it isn’t ready. The guarantee isn’t marketing — it’s a forcing function. If it would break, we’d have to replace it, so we make it not break.

Where it comes from

Designed in Wyoming. Engraved in NYC. Yours wherever.

ZPACK is designed and dialed in out of Wyoming — every bevel, every magnet seat, every shade of anodize gets approved on a desk somewhere between Jackson and the highway.

Custom engravings get cut by hand in a small shop in New York City. If you ordered one with your initials, a date, or a quiet joke on the back, it spent an afternoon on a laser bed in Manhattan before it shipped to you.

Who’s behind it

Four people behind it.

No marketing team. No agency. No growth hacker. The same people who designed it answer your emails.

MZ
Founder
Marty Z.

Started Zpack because he was tired of fishing cracked plastic out of his pocket. Owns the product, the standard, and the lifetime guarantee.

RM
Co-founder
Remy M.

Runs design and the look of the brand. The bevel, the type, the photography, the shade of clay in the anodize — all of it goes through Remy first.

HZ
Operations
Hunter Z.

Keeps every order on time and every email answered. If you wrote in about a return, a warranty claim, or a stuck tracking number, Hunter wrote back.

MP
Growth
Michael P.

Runs the channels — web, Amazon, TikTok Shop, the Shop app. Also the person texting you back when you DM the brand at 11pm.
